Tuesday afternoon update
Bethanie Swiney Senior in High School
Everyone has had a great time so far. I have had an opportunity of meeting a lot of new people and strengthening friendships with people I have known for a long time. Yesterday we started VBS at First Baptist Church Mandan. We had a great turn out and a lot of fun with the kids. I got to teach the children the songs and motions and they had a great time learning them. The kids had so much fun and it was cute to watch them interact with the workers. I am looking forward to seeing all the kids again tonight. Please pray that we will have a great turn out tonight and that everything will go smoothly. I also have enjoyed opening the letters from everyone they have been very encouraging.

I was going door to door yesturday i went to this one house and there was a lady about to leave so i went and talked to and she ended up bringin 3 keds to our camp and she also spent half an hour talking to the pastor of the church and she seemed like she really wanted to join the church.
Harley Gault Freshman and Kara Roderick SENIOR!!!
Today we went with Ben S. to go door to door and hand out fliers. While we were waiting for the rain to stop Ben taught us a great way to memorize the Ten Commandments, read some passages from the Bible, and read chunks of Nancy Drew. After the rain stopped we handed out the fliers and got lost. It turns out we were like 10 feet from the park we were supposed to meet at but we went in the wrong direction. Apparently we are directionally challenged. We got back and caught the tail end of VBS at Capital Heights. We danced, played duck duck goose, and played freeze tag with the two kids that showed up.

God is moving and working through our students. It is awesome to see how they are changing in to servants for God. I have been leading the Baseball/softball camp at Riverwood this week and today was awesome. We had 25 kids show up today, that is 9 new ones from yesterday. And by the way it has been raining both days. God is working! I a soo prowd of the students on my team, because the kids are not flocking to me at camp, but instead directly to them. The seeds are being planted and God is starting to water them. Please be in prayer that our students might see even a harvest this week. GOD IS AWESOME!

Bethanie,
We are so proud of you and we are continuing to pray for you. It was great to read about your experiences and we are praying that you will continue to have good time sharing with the children in Mandam. We will look forward to hearing all about your trip.
