Wednesday Morning

Martin Stukenborg    Youth Pastor

Basketball camp is going great! We had 17 campers yesterday and our little half court size gym is getting pretty full. It is amazing to talk to the kids at our halftime presentations each day and realize that 3/4 of the kids have no knowlege of the Bible or Christianity. Today we are going to be talking about Jesus and the cross. Please continue to pray for my team and for the kids. We have a big end of camp deal planned for Thursday night; bounce houses, hotdogs and basketball!

Greetings from Bismarck!  It is Wednesday morning, so we are on the “downhill side” of our trip.  Roger and I have really enjoyed the kids!  We have driven to all the remote locations where VBS, basketball & softball camps, etc. are in motion.  It is great to watch our youth interact & participate with the kids that are coming to the projects.  Last night for dessert we had brownie/ice cream/cool whip sundaes and they disappeared pretty quickly!  This kids are eating just about anything we put in front of them for sure.  The number of local kids participating in our activities is growing every day, so we believe the word is getting out and God is doing a great work here.  In our “flexible” activities, we have decided to host a carnival at the Lincoln church location on Thursday night.  The local association has  inflatables, grills, popcorn popper available – so that’s all we need!  So pray for good weather & lots of young families who will come to the Lincoln church Thursday night and pray for our youth & leaders who will be working & planting the seeds for future work in Lincoln.  Take care in MO and we’ll see you in a few days!
